June 2012

22 June – If I ever wondered why I love going to see live music, I don’t by the way, then a show like Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band would provide the answer. ¬†This is powerful, life affirming stuff. The band play a three and a half set that never flags and doesn’t seem a minute too long. That takes some doing. I’ve been to see acts I really like and ended up praying for them to finish after a couple of hours.

With a back catalogue like his it must be difficult to select a playlist, especially given that some material from the current album has to be included. I was in luck tonight as he played probably my favourite Springsteen song – Bobby Jean.

The Boss and his band can’t come around again quickly enough for me!
